Circles of Life: A Tribute to Unity and Resilience
We are planning a special way to commemorate the loss of 1,200 lives, inviting adults, families, and children to participate in a meaningful project.
Each person will decorate a circle, representing a life lost during Hamas’ October 7th attack on Israel. These circles, symbolizing unity, wholeness, and peace, will come together to form a large installation in our synagogue, representing solidarity and remembrance.
This collective art piece will be unveiled on Simchat Torah, the Hebrew date marking the anniversary of their passing—a day when we WILL dance again. Our hope is that this tribute serves as a powerful reminder of those we’ve lost, our strength & resilience when we stand together & the power of community, peace, and unity.

On Purpose: Speaker Series
Book Launch and Talk: 'On Purpose’ by Rabbi Mendel Kalmanson.
Research has shown that living with purpose increases overall well-being and life satisfaction, improves mental and physical health, lowers risk of cognitive decline, betters sleep, enhances resilience and self-esteem, increases longevity, and decreases chances of anxiety and depression.
But finding our unique purpose can be difficult and overwhelming in today’s ever-expanding, hyper-connected reality, with mobile technologies literally putting the world with all of its problems and possibilities into our hands. This brings us to a most critical question of our time: In a world beset by distraction and inundated with countless causes, how do we discover our own, unique purpose?
That's the premise of Rabbi Mendel Kalmanson's new book 'On Purpose'. Join us for a book signing and to hear from this acclaimed author on Tuesday, 11/26 from 8pm - 9:30pm, SoHo location. Wine & Cheese will be served.
